Protect Your Property From Unwanted Activity.

Seeing bees around your property? Whether you found a swarm, repeated activity, or bees entering a wall, Enviro Guard can inspect the situation and help you understand what to do next.

  • Experienced Technicians
  • Upfront Recommendations
  • Fast Response Times
  • Licensed & Insured in Nevada

What Am I Actually Looking At?

Seeing a bee does not automatically mean you have a hive.

A few bees around flowers, landscaping, or water may simply be feeding. A swarm is different. It is a large group gathered on a tree, fence, wall, or another surface. Swarms can be temporary as bees move to a new location.

Repeated activity deserves more attention. If bees keep flying into and out of the same opening, there may be an established colony nearby or inside the structure.

Depending on the situation, Enviro Guard can help identify the bee species, locate the colony, and recommend the appropriate removal or control solution.

Signs There May Be a Colony

No single sign confirms a hive, but these patterns are worth checking:

  • Bees repeatedly enter the same opening.
  • Activity stays around one wall, roofline, or eave.
  • Bees disappear into a crack or structural gap.
  • Activity continues in the same location over time.

Not sure if you are seeing bees, wasps, or hornets? Professional identification can help determine the right next step.

Where Are the Bees Coming From?

Las Vegas properties have protected areas where bees may find shelter. Common locations include:

  • Stucco or block walls
  • Rooflines and eaves
  • Attics
  • Garages
  • Outdoor structures
  • Utility areas

For homeowners with other pest concerns, Enviro Guard provides residential pest control services.

What Kind of Bees Are Common in Nevada?

Not every bee is the same. Nevada has many bee species, including colony-forming and solitary bees. University of Nevada, Reno reports more than 1,000 native bee species in the state, many of which are important pollinators.

Honey Bees
Honey bees live in colonies and can establish hives in protected spaces such as walls, attics, and roof areas.
Africanized Honey Bees
Africanized honey bees are present in Southern Nevada. They cannot be reliably identified by appearance alone, and defensive behavior does not by itself confirm their identity.

Nevada has specific requirements for collecting or moving certain feral honey bee colonies within the Southern Nevada quarantine area. If bees are defensive or near a busy area, keep your distance.

Carpenter Bees
Carpenter bees are different from honey bees and are known for nesting in wood. They may be found around wooden fences, structures, or furniture.
Bumble Bees
Bumble bees are larger, fuzzy bees that play an important role as pollinators.
Native & Solitary Bees
Many native bees live alone rather than in large colonies.

Are the Bees Actually a Problem?

Not every bee sighting calls for removal. A few bees visiting flowers are very different from a colony inside a building or activity near a busy entrance.

A professional assessment makes more sense when bees:

  • Repeatedly enter the same opening
  • Appear to have established a colony
  • Are inside or entering a structure
  • Gather near entrances or high-traffic areas
  • Show defensive behavior

What Should I Do If I Find Bees?

If you find a swarm or suspected hive, keep your distance.

Do not spray the bees, poke the hive, open the area, or attempt to remove it yourself.

If bees are near a pool, patio, doorway, or another busy location, keep people and pets away from the active area.

What If the Bees Are Inside My Wall?

Bees can use wall voids and other hidden spaces as shelter for a colony.

Stucco walls, block walls, roof areas, and similar structures can contain spaces that are difficult to see from outside.

The opening where bees enter may not show where the colony is located. Sealing it immediately may therefore not address the source.

What Does Professional Bee Removal Involve?

Professional service starts by identifying the insect and assessing where the activity is coming from.

Enviro Guard considers the type of bee, amount of activity, colony location, accessibility, property type, and whether bees are inside a structure.

We may inspect wall openings, rooflines, eaves, attics, garages, and other areas connected to repeated activity.

What Happens When You Call Enviro Guard?

How Much Does Bee Removal in Las Vegas Cost?

There is no fixed price for every bee problem.

Cost can depend on the bee type, colony size, location, accessibility, and whether bees are inside a wall or another structure.

Residential and commercial properties may also have different needs.

An inspection gives Enviro Guard a better understanding of the situation before recommending the work required.

Bee Control for Homes and Businesses

Bee activity can affect homes, apartments, condos, businesses, hotels, restaurants, offices, and managed properties.

At home, bees may become a concern around garages, patios, pools, attics, roofs, or walls.

At commercial properties, activity near entrances, outdoor areas, or customer spaces may need attention.

For businesses and property managers, Enviro Guard provides commercial pest control services.

Simple Ways to Reduce Future Bee Problems

You do not need to remove flowering plants simply because bees visit them. Bees are important pollinators.

Instead:

  • Seal suitable structural openings.
  • Keep door and window screens in good condition.
  • Check roof, wall, and eave areas where activity was found.
  • Reduce standing water where practical.
  • Have repeated activity inspected early.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I find a bee swarm?

Keep your distance and do not disturb it. A swarm may be temporary and does not automatically mean there is a hive on your property.

Can bees live inside my walls?

Yes. Honey bee colonies can use protected spaces in and around buildings. Repeated activity around one opening is a good reason to have the area checked.

How can I tell a bee from a wasp?

Bees are generally hairier and have thicker bodies. Many wasps have smoother bodies and a narrower waist. If you are unsure, professional identification can help.

Are Africanized honey bees found around Las Vegas?

Yes. Africanized honey bees are present in Southern Nevada. They cannot be identified reliably by appearance alone, and defensive behavior does not by itself confirm their identity.

Should I remove a bee hive myself?

No. Do not spray, open, seal, or disturb a hive. Keep your distance and have the situation assessed by a professional.

Steve was very friendly from the beginning. I had a good feeling about his services, even when we first talked over the phone. I’m very specific about the areas outside my home that are sprayed. I have kids who are always playing outside and have VERY sensitive skin. I told Steve the specific areas I wanted treated. He was understanding and followed my instructions carefully. Also, I didn’t notice any bugs in my garage after Steve treated the area. I can tell he cares about his customer’s being satisfied with his work. I highly recommend him.

Steve and team gave a good price explained what type of service they provide and we are happy with our first application, having the option to call them if we see resurgence between applications is a definitely a peace of mind. We have two kids and a toddler who runs around bare feet even in the backyard so, having EnviroGuard treat our surroundings is well worth it, both environmental impact, limited footprint and safety for our kids.

We hired Enviroguard because we wanted to address pest issues without dangerous chemicals. I like that their products are eco-friendly and safe for the family. Their prices are affordable and they are reliable. Certain times of the year, like in the spring, the ants tend to show up more readily and they will always come out and do an extra treatment if necessary. We have had no major issues with bugs since we hired this company. I would highly recommend them.
